We have a vacancy for a Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a part time, permanent position as part of our Logistics department, reporting to the Warehouse Manager. You will be driving a long wheel base Mercedes van, with racks to both sides.

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
Hours: 07:00 – 12:00 depending on workload.
Salary: £12.71 an hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Duties include:

– Delivering and offloading glazing products to sites across Manchester. Items include uPVC and aluminium windows, composite doors, bifold doors, patio doors, and glass.
– Safe manual handling of glazing products when loading and offloading your vehicle.
– Daily reporting to the Warehouse Manager.
– Record deliveries to trade customers and installers on site, and completing all necessary paperwork.
– Responding to last-minute changes calmly and flexibly.
– Safe and correct loading of the vehicle.
– Returning your vehicle to the warehouse on time each day.
– Driving in a legal, safe and respectful manner at all times.
– Daily/weekly vehicle checks.
– Assisting the Warehouse Manager in the yard where required.
– Complying with health and safety regulations at all times.

Our ideal candidate:

– Someone who enjoys manual work.
– Someone with good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
– Someone who likes a job to be done properly and will see it through to the end.
– Experience in glazing, glass handling, labouring, multi-drop delivery or a construction-related role would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
– Glass handling and health and safety training will be provided.
– Proactive and able to work without direct supervision.
– Enthusiastic, punctual and reliable.
– Driving experience essential.
– Full, clean UK driving licence.
