This Davenport property has been given a striking refresh with the installation of a Solidor Ludlow composite door in black, alongside brand-new white bay windows. The previous entrance and windows were original timber units that had begun to deteriorate, affecting both the appearance of the home and its overall performance.
The homeowners wanted to maintain the traditional look of the property while upgrading to something stronger, more secure and more energy efficient.
To achieve this, we installed a Solidor Ludlow composite door finished in black. Its classic panel design complements the character of the house, while the colour provides a bold contrast against the red brick exterior – creating a much more welcoming entrance.
The old single-glazed timber bays were also replaced with modern white uPVC bay windows. These new units replicate the original three-segment bay style, preserving the property’s proportions while delivering significant improvements in insulation, security and everyday comfort.
The result is a front elevation that looks refreshed and well balanced. The home keeps its traditional charm, but now benefits from modern materials that will last for years to come.
