Endorsed By Trading Standards. Trusted By You.
Alexander Windows was founded in 1991 with a vision to create a trustworthy, reliable service for homeowners looking to invest in industry-leading products. We wanted to do things differently, offering tailor-made windows and doors with no pressure selling, no gimmicks, and unparalleled customer service. Almost 30 years on, and we’d like to think we’ve done just that. Many of our customers come back to us time and time again, recommending us to friends, family and colleagues along the way.
We believe in quality, sustainable products. We believe in employing our own installers. We believe in doing a job properly, and doing it once. We are proud to be approved by Trading Standards, endorsed by TrustMark, and founder members of FENSA. If you’re looking for peace of mind, then look no further.
We understand if you’d prefer us to quote without visiting your home. Not only is it safer in the current environment, but the turnaround can prove faster than waiting for a face-to-face appointment.
If you’d like to keep your dreams for your home moving, please contact us to discuss a remote quotation. We can be contacted by Facebook Messenger, email or we can quote based on Google Earth images if the elevation you’d like to work on is visible online. If you’re unsure where to begin, we can start with a chat on the phone and take it from there.
If you’d like to move forward with your quotation once you have your price, we can then discuss the survey and installation options available to us that you are most comfortable with.
So, what can you expect from us?
First and foremost, know that you can expect professionalism and understanding. We’ve been visiting people in their homes for almost three decades and have undertaken over 100,000 projects across Manchester and Cheshire. We understand how you feel inviting a company into your home, which is why we carry out every part of what we do with respect and professionalism, keeping you fully informed along the way.
We understand that it may feel a tad stressful and you want it to be just right. So do we! We have worked hard to develop our showroom and welcome customers 6 days a week. Nothing makes up for seeing products in real life, so we’ve built one of the biggest glazing showrooms in the country. We are here to listen and to help ensure that your project, no matter the size, runs as smoothly as possible.
With the largest Solidor showroom in the country, we have a wide range of styles for you to come and see. Not only that, but we also have every single one of the 24 colours in our showroom.
Whether you’re looking for an ultra-modern anthracite grey door with a beautiful stainless steel handle, or something more traditional with ironmongery to match, Solidor will have something for you. Not only that, but a Solidor will keep you and your home safe. Every door is 48mm thick, has a solid timber core, and comes with an Ultion cylinder as standard. All of this backed by our famous Unique Lifetime Warranty. Now that’s peace of mind!
Come and kickstart your home decor plans with a wander round our newly re-furbished showroom. With everything on display from traditional flush windows through to modern aluminium, we’re sure we’ll have something to inspire your next project.
We firmly believe that it’s important to see the products you’re thinking about buying before you make your decision. Our showroom is regularly updated with new products, and is looked after by our glazing specialists who will help you design your windows and doors in a relaxed environment.
As well as seeing our products, our showroom will give you a feel for what we are all about. The care we take over showcasing our products is exactly the same level of care that you can expect in your own home.

Now we’re the first to admit that home improvements aren’t going to get you a better work life balance, for example. (They’ll probably add to your workload in the short term …). But what they can do is give you space, better means to interact with your family and […]
