This home in Sale has been given a stylish interior upgrade with the installation of a sleek AluSpace internal door and screen. The homeowners wanted a way to separate their hallway from the living area while still keeping the light, open feel that makes the space so inviting.
Originally, the hallway flowed directly into the lounge. While this created a large open-plan layout, it meant the entrance lacked definition and the living room didn’t feel quite as private or cosy as the homeowners would have liked.
To solve this, we installed a black AluSpace internal door and fixed screen – a modern steel-look system designed specifically for dividing interior spaces without blocking natural light.
The slim black frames create a bold architectural feature that instantly catches the eye. At the same time, the large glazed panels allow light to pass freely between the hallway and living room, keeping both areas bright and welcoming.
The hinged door provides easy access between the spaces, while the fixed glazed panel completes the screen and maintains the clean, symmetrical design across the opening. The result is a subtle division that adds structure to the layout without making either space feel closed off.
From a design perspective, the black frames work beautifully with the warm tones of the herringbone flooring and the neutral interior palette. It adds a contemporary edge while still feeling perfectly at home in this property.
The finished result is a hallway that feels more purposeful and a living room that feels more defined and comfortable – all while preserving the light and openness of the original layout.
